Facilitation Services  top

Integrating human services is potentially both challenging and rewarding. Bringing together different disciplines to focus on the needs of children and families provides opportunities to
  • enrich assessment and service perspectives
  • reduce duplication and conflict
  • enhance family participation

Crafting this approach often benefits from the guidance of a skilled facilitator.

Professional Facilitators Available

A total of 20 days of facilitation services, including assessment and analysis, are available to agencies. The days can be used in half-day, full-day or several-day increments by individual agencies or groups of agencies for local, regional or statewide service integration planning and implementation.

These third-party facilitation services will be available to assist groups in any aspect of service integration development and implementation, including
  • planning the integration effort to make good use of time and resources
  • assessing customer and agency needs, and identifying gaps and issues
  • defining integration goals and objectives
  • surfacing and testing assumptions which may impede integration
  • planning and evaluating new processes for acting collaboratively
  • encouraging effective feedback from group members
  • reaching consensus in decision making
  • studying and analyzing outcome indicators

The facilitator's services will be useful in various stages of the service integration process and under varying circumstances. For example
  • in the early, formative stages - to help set goals and objectives for collaboration
  • during service integration planning - to help identify and meet challenges
  • near the end of the planning effort - to help the group reach consensus
  • in the implementation stages - to analyze integration processes and encourage progress

Curriculum will be developed to support integrating services and will be shared liberally with regional training academies, county or agency staff development departments and other training entities. Watch for training-the-trainer opportunities here or contact Monica Caprio at (530) 757-8643.
